DOLLARS FOR DOERS
Conrail appreciates the contribution our employees make in their local communities through volunteer activities. We honor our employees’ spirit of service and seek to support their volunteer efforts through the Dollars for Doers program. For every hour an employee volunteers at an eligible non-profit organization, he or she earns $10 towards a charitable contribution that Conrail will make to a non-profit organization of the employee’s choice. To qualify, employees must volunteer a minimum of 15 hours and up to a maximum of 40 hours during a calendar year.

Conrail encourages charitable giving by eligible employees. Through its Matching Gift program, Conrail provides support for eligible educational, health and human service, cultural, civic, environmental, and community organizations. Conrail will match dollar-for-dollar the eligible charitable contributions of its employees ranging from $50 to $5,000 per employee-donor per year. All full-time, active Conrail employees are eligible to participate in this program. Gifts must be contributions made (not merely pledged) from an eligible employee’s own funds and paid by check or donated securities having a quoted market value.
